The DEMAND PhD Pre-Conference workshop 2016 served as an introduction to DEMAND and its approach, allowing for PhD students studying energy demand (in relation to practice) to meet one another and share ideas before joining the main conference. The workshop included not only interesting presentations from Elizabeth Shove (DEMAND Director), Sarah Royston (Research Fellow) and Jan Baastians (Energy Manager at Lancaster University) but some fun (but rainy!) fieldwork around Lancaster University Campus, PhD ‘huddles’ with early career researchers and some good food also.
